Initial investigations revealed the cell's responsibility for several crimes in the Baghouz and Sha'fah areas of the al-Bukamal countryside, including the assassination of a member of the Diplomatic Security Service on Eid al-Adha, the planting of an explosive device inside a shop that resulted in the death of a security officer, and the targeting of an Internal Security Forces vehicle with an explosive device.
