SDF Statement Regarding Violations of the Ceasefire Agreement in the Jazira and Kobani Regions: Despite the ceasefire agreement coming into effect yesterday evening, Damascus factions continue to commit serious and repeated violations against populated areas in the Jazira and Kobani regions, in clear and blatant violation of the agreement's terms and a direct threat to the security of civilians and the stability of the region. At 10:00 AM, Damascus factions launched an armored attack on the Jalabiya axis, southeast of Kobani, which was repelled. From 12:00 PM until the time of this statement, these factions have continued their attacks on the western Kobani countryside, targeting the villages of Zarik and Qasimiya. At 6:00 PM, the factions' artillery shelled the village of Qasimiya, resulting in the death of a child and injuries to three other members of the same family. At 7:30 PM, Damascus factions launched an attack using three suicide drones on the village of Qari, near the city of Karaki Laki, causing material damage. At 10:40 PM, these same factions targeted the village of Safa in the countryside of Jal Agha/Jawadiyah, also causing material damage. As of the time of this statement, these factions continue their attacks on the southern and western axes of Kobani, in clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and a dangerous escalation that endangers civilian lives. During these attacks, four of our fighters were wounded, in addition to the suicide attack of a child and injuries to three others from the same family. We call upon the guarantors of the ceasefire agreement to assume their full responsibilities in putting an end to these violations, compelling the Damascus factions to fully comply with the agreement, and ensuring the protection of civilians without any delay or leniency.
